| 作品描述 | 摄影发展到当代，纯粹的纪实功能已经被打破，正因为如此，摄影艺术呈现出一副欣欣向荣的态势。《状态》这组作品，更多的是在考虑如何对观念进行表达。环境污染，是我多年来思考的一个问题，因为它不仅承载着诸多的历史问题，同时也深深影响到当代人和未来人类的命运。 从人类发展史上看来，20万年前，作为无数生物形成的生命链中的一环，地球有了真正意义的人类生命，而人类的不息发展正是得益于地球的遗产。然而，人类社会发展到当下的状态，是人类无止境的剥削和破坏这些遗产的必然后果。有数据显示，从1950起，人类对地球所作的根本改变比过去二十万年都要多。原因是，在整个现代化进程中，工业技术的发展使人类社会产生巨大进步，人类也越来越享受这些改变所带来的“成果”。但这一切“成果”的代价，则是让原本的自然环境和生物种群发生了惊人改变。 水污染是环境污染的一个最重要现象之一，因为它与每一个人以及存在于这个地球上的万物都息息相关。我将水污染这一环境问题作为这组作品观念的支点，来表达人类终将要为对地球资源的破坏付出惨烈代价。作品的背景，是我在10年前前往三峡所拍摄的原始图像，而将这些已经沉入水底的真实影像作为背景来使用，也是一种隐喻。地球美丽的风光已经隐匿并在逐渐消失，而即将消失的不仅是自然环境和景象，还将包括人类和各种生物。画面中浮动或挣扎着的各种受伤的、变异的鱼类以及鱼骨，作为一种视觉符号，是现存人类和生物的缩影，夸张但却真实。 霍金先生在接受美国媒体采访时预言，人类将在200年内灭绝。他说道：“如果我们是银河系中唯一具有高等智慧的生物，我们就应确保自己能永久生存。”但“人类正进入历史上越来越危险的时代。”霍金是一名乐观主义者，但最后他还是得出十分悲观的结论！难道真的会有这么一天？希望这只是一个假命题。作品命名为《状态》，一是指地球环境的真实状态，同时也是指人类社会和人存在的真实状态。我将这些怪诞的视觉影像编织在一起，吸收了一些现代主义艺术中超现实主义的手法，除了希望给观影者带来视觉冲击外，更希望他们能通过观看作品产生共鸣——保护地球，也是在保护人类自己。 秦文 2010年8月12日 As photography is marching into the present, its sole function of recording has already been relimited, thus the art flourishes. This series of mine is an expression of my thoughts, an outcome of my years-long reflection on environmental pollution which not just carries with itself many historical issues, but is also to essentially affect the fate of mankind. 200,000 years ago human life appeared on the earth's life chain, and human evolution has benefited directly from the heritage of the planet. However, such a global status quo proves that humans are suffering their own avid ravaging of the heritage. Statistics show that the earth's change caused by humans since 1950s overweighs that of the last 200,000 years, as a result of the process of modernization characterized by industrial technology. Hence the massive change of the natural environment and biotic population. One of the contributing elements is water pollution, in which everybody and everything on the planet is concerned. It is the logical pivot of this series of mine which aims to show the horrid sacrifice humans are to make for destroying the earth resources. The background of this series is composed of the pictures I took 10 years ago at the Three Gorges, the genuine images that can now be found only underwater. The metaphor on my mind is: the enchanting scenes are vanishing gradually, and what are to vanish not just involve part of nature, but creatures of different kinds, humans included. The floating and struggling fishes, wounded, aberrated, as well as their bones, are a visual epitome of the living creatures, which is exaggerated yet logical. As an optimist Stephen Hawking once spoke of his pessimist conclusion that humans are entering into an increasingly dangerous era. Entitled Status Quo, this series refers to the real situation of the natural environment, and also that of human existence. Some absurd images are woven together, surrealist techniques used, in the hope of provoking in the viewer the sympathy of protecting the earth and ourselves. Qin Wen Aug. 12, 2010 |
